Dr. Alissa Harris has owned and operated Harpers Ferry Chiropractic, PLLC since 2007 and practices a variety of techniques such as applied kinesiology, Thompson drop, Webster, instrument adjusting and diversified.  She has also taken many continuing education classes on functional nutrition as it relates to female and male hormones, cardiovascular health, gut and skin conditions and has been using the Lebowitz technique to help solve more complex issues with gut health.  She is looking for a doctor that is interested in growing with the practice and help in taking it to the next level with a like-minded team of practitioners.

Our office is efficient and organized running on Chirotouch electronic health record systems and our custom office was built in 2017 with the idea of being comfortable while providing good patient flow. You will have the chance to work in an environment that strives for a peaceful work day while managing a moderate patient flow.  You will be able to take your time with patients as we do not operate as a high-volume practice but take the needed time with patients to address their chiropractic and healthcare concerns.

Our office is in historic Harpers Ferry, WV located about an hour from our nation’s capital and the many social opportunities around the DC area.  We are also located within Harpers Ferry National Park that boasts the Appalachian Trail, The C&O Canal bike path and the beautiful Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.  This area is fast growing as it provides affordable living to commuters that work in the DC area but still has rural charm as the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. 

You will bring these qualifications:

• A doctorate in chiropractic medicine with licensing in the state of WV.
• Working knowledge in applied kinesiology with 100 hour certification.
• Organizational skills to manage new patients and existing patients while providing timely documentation.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn or have experience with Chirotouch.
• Willing to work with other practitioners and a desire to learn and grow as a team. 
• Works hard and is organized while staying on a on a tight schedule.
• You bring a relaxed attitude and are even tempered by nature.
• Willing to lend a hand and help out when a need arises.
• Willing to work later hours at least two days a week to serve the commuter population.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• At least three years of chiropractic experience working in a clinical setting with patients.
• Enjoys working with athletes.
• Working knowledge of the Lebowitz technique for chronic health conditions.
• Advanced knowledge in exercise, nutrition or functional medicine.
• Experience with office management and team leadership.
